A welcome from the Headmaster

“Leaders maintain rigorous oversight of the delivery of the school’s curriculum. Pupils have access to a broad range of learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.”

– Park Hill School ISI Inspection Report, 2020

A Welcome from The Headmaster

The first few moments in a school tell you all that you need to know. The atmosphere should be tangible; the warmest welcome. You should hear excited conversations in the corridor exchanged between children and teachers about the next lesson or at the anticipation of the day ahead. Children happily holding their games kit before heading off to the playing fields for the latest match or training session for the upcoming triathlon. Laughter bursting out of classrooms at the latest word or phrase learnt in Latin or French or acrostic poem. Teachers, pausing to say hello and to show you the extraordinary progress their children are making, pride for each individual in their care.

I know just how happy our children and parents are at Park Hill Prep School in Kingston. It is this very atmosphere that strikes you as you enter our school.

Our children enjoy opportunities that few other prep schools provide. Exceptional teaching, combined with an absolute desire to give every child the very best and delivering what preparatory schools should be doing, giving your child the confidence and self-esteem to love learning and the ability to apply themselves across the full curriculum.

We value the personal touch. A good Head shouldn’t be aloof or distant. A good Head knows every name, is approachable and should give the children, teachers and parents in their school their time and energy.

Come and see us for yourself, it would be my pleasure to show you in person just what an exceptional school we are.
