Easter
15th April 16
The whole school celebrated Easter in the final week of term with an Easter Egg Hunt in place of After School Club on the Monday and an Easter Celebration during the end of term assembly at St Paul’s church.
Easter Egg Hunt
The children had made baskets to collect their eggs, in advance so they were prepared and ready to go on the day. They enjoyed a party tea of sandwiches, pom bears, cake and juice before gathering in the lower playground to find a teammate. The Year 1 and 2 children were paired with an Early Years counterpart; they explored the school grounds together (some of the very young children being assisted by their teachers) to find the eggs. Once all the eggs had been collected, the children gathered in a circle in the playground to count them.
Easter Assembly
For the first time our newly formed Park Hill Orchestra took to the stage to play a rousing rendition of Hot Cross Buns. This was a wonderful way to begin our Easter celebration which included the Easter story, presented by Mr Simon Coupland and spring and Easter songs, sung by the whole school.

At the end of the assembly we had a collection, which raised £110 for Momentum. Thank you to everybody who gave so generously.
