Park Hill’s First Ever Race for Life
1st June 15
Many of our families have been affected by cancer and we wanted to help raise funds for Cancer Research UK. In May one of our youngest students, Benny was diagnosed with Leukaemia and this brought together our entire school community to do what we could in support of Benny and our other families who were affected.
We organised a whole school Race for Life. We spoke to the nice people in Richmond Park who helped us organise a license to run the race then gathered parents, carers, relatives and of course, our children. Our class parents pulled together volunteers to man the track and off we went! We raised over £2,400 for Cancer Research and are looking forward to doing it all over again next year!
Below is a short video of the Race for Life.
