The ethos at Park Hill is principally based on the teachings of the Church of England and we have a strong link with St Paulšs Church opposite the school. However, we welcome children from all religious and cultural backgrounds and our weekly assemblies are non-denominational.
Our assemblies are fun-filled events where we take the opportunity to reward pupils who have worked hard or shown special consideration towards others.
Everyone participates in a rousing rendition of the songs we have been practising, as singing is an important expression of our close community spirit. Every term we stage seasonal drama and musical performances, composed and performed by the teachers and pupils.
The school is regularly involved in charitable activities which give the children the opportunity to consider the welfare of others. Form III sponsor Polly, an abandoned pony, and during the year the children and parents organise fund raising events for various charities and other needy causes.
Above all, the children learn to care and look out for each other.
