Park Hill School Admissions
Admissions
Please note that with effect from September 2010 Park Hill is now a pre - preparatory school for children from 2 1/2 + to 7+ years of age. Our ethos has not changed in any way and we prepare both the girls and boys for 7+ entry exams to all the same prestigious schools as previously. We work closely with parents to find the best possible school for their son or daughter at 7+.

We are flexible as to when each child joins Park Hill and believe that parents are the best judges of when their child is ready for school. Therefore, the youngest children may join our nursery at any time from the term in which they turn 3 years old. Children under three years may attend for a minimum of 3 sessions per week, increasing to at least 5 sessions per week in the term after their third birthday.

Whilst most Park Hill children start in the Nursery and continue throughout the school, we do often have places available at other times.

Park Hill is non selective and the children are not subjected to an assessment prior to joining at such a young age. We fully understand that each child is unique and as such will have the benefit of individual family and social influences; bringing various experiences to the enrichment of both the class group and the school as a whole. However, we do ask parents to inform us of any reason or issue which may affect their child's school performance. For children joining us over the age of 5, where applicable, we ask for sight of a report from his or her previous school.

We strongly advise that all parents interested in their child joining Park Hill come to visit us, meet the staff and pupils and see the school in action. Applicants can be registered by completion of the form in the prospectus or the download from this page. Please then return the form with the registration fee to the Admissions Secretary.

The offer of a place is made in writing. Acceptance must also be in writing and accompanied by the deposit which is held by the school and repaid when the child leaves Park Hill and any outstanding accounts have been settled.

All admissions, which are subject to the school's registration and entry procedures, are at the Principal's discretion.
