Our Reception class of four to five year olds enjoys a varied, topic based curriculum that encompasses the themes and principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We aim to provide a safe and stimulating environment where the children can develop and learn while building positive and caring relationships within the school community.
In addition to their Form Teacher and the assistant teacher, the children in Reception benefit from learning through specialists in music and sport. The children also enjoy weekly football sessions.

We take full advantage of our local environment and visit Richmond Park regularly to extend the children's learning and development.

Reception children also experience a variety of trips each year, usually arranged to compliment our topics. Recent outings have included The Polka Theatre, Natural History Museum, Bocketts Farm and Holly Lodge in Ricmond Park for a Minibeast Safari.

We are very fortunate to have the support of many parents who come along to help and share in the experience with the children on these trips.
