The Nursery offers a child centred environment and is housed in its own bright building within the school grounds where the children enjoy a stimulating, nurturing and caring learning environment. They receive the individual care and attention that young children need and are introduced to the concepts of academia in fun and happy ways. Children under three years may attend for a minimum of 3 sessions per week increasing to at least 5 sessions per week in the term after their third birthday.

Just as importantly, the children in the Nursery are taught how to share and play, encouraged to be kind and considerate to their friends and well mannered at all times. The school's large (about a third of an acre) and pretty garden with climbing frames, play house and sandpits is used all year round. On warmer days the water play area is very popular!

The Nursery day begins at 8:30am with singing and a story. We follow a broad curriculum with the central emphasis on the basic skills of reading, writing and numeracy.

The Nursery children are cared for and taught by two full time qualified members of staff. They are supported by a wide variety of additional staff, including specialist PE and music teachers. Many children stay a full day, while some go home at lunchtime and others join us for lunch as well as afternoon school.

All pupils follow a broad curriculum with an emphasis on learning through play based activities; giving the children a grounding in all the skills they will need in their future school careers. They cover Language, Mathematics, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative, Physical, Personal and Social Skills as well as IT and French.

On Tuesdays, the football coach, teaches ball and team building skills and Wednesday is the day we walk to Richmond Park where we may look for minibeasts or a certain number and colour of leaves. The whole school crosses the road to St. Paul's church on Thursdays when the vicar tells us stories and we sing songs.

Most importantly, however, we hope to encourage the children to be inquisitive, independent, imaginative and confident learners who are confident to try their utmost and achieve their best in all they do.
