Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten class of four to five year olds follows a broad curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We use a phonics based Literacy scheme and a Mathematics scheme which is used throughout the school. These both aim to equip the children with the necessary skills to enable them to move on to Transition.

The children benefit from specialist teachers for Music, Art, French and Sport in addition to their form teacher. We enjoy a variety of trips each year, usually arranged to compliment our Knowledge and Understanding of the World topics.

Kindergarten children have visited the Natural History Museum on two occasions. Once to the Earth Galleries as part of our topic of 'Space' and more recently to see the dinosaurs. During the academic year we also visit the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park and Bocketts Farm to give the children a chance to use their senses to the full. We are fortunate to have many parents who come along to help and share in the experience with the children on these trips.

In the afternoons, pupils in Kindergarten experience stimulating and creative activities such as drama, role-play, cooking, music, art and sport.
