Form I
Form 1 Park Hill School

Form 1 Park Hill School
Form I (Year 2) is currently a mixed class of fourteen children. The pupils have a variety of cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds and are of mixed ability. While many are performing at levels in advance of their chronological age, all are keen to make the best progress they can and take full advantage of activities that specifically address their individual needs.

English and Mathematics is usually taught in the mornings. Each half term we have either a History or a Geography focus. Science, Religious Studies, Art, French, ICT and Sport are taught by subject spcialists. This group of pupils love music and many study a musical instrument as well as enjoying group lessons.

In Geography, we have thus far focussed on our location in the wider world and in so doing have studied many map types. This work has influenced our creative writing as the lure of the Solar System has caught our imagination. We are also studying contrasting locations and homing in on particular countries to find out more about how other people live. Our History studies concentrate largely on the Romans.

This current year group displays curiosity and enthusiasm for all things. They are unfailingly kind to each other and their excellent behaviour makes teaching them a pleasure.
