Form I (Year 2) is currently a class of fourteen girls and boys. The pupils have a variety of cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds and are of mixed ability. While many are performing at levels in advance of their chronological age, all are keen to make the best progress they can and take full advantage of activities that specifically address their individual needs.
English and Mathematics is usually taught in the mornings. Religious Studies, Art, French, ICT and Sport are taught by subject spcialists.
The initial focus in History, Georgraphy and Science is the British Isles. Both Georgraphy and the natural environment affect History so we try to integrate the subjects to give a broad, holistic education. The focus then broadens to encompass the wider world.
Pupils are encouraged to question and to apply their knowledge logically and imaginatively. To make best use of teaching time, pupils are encouraged to have good work habits and behave well. |
